PRIVACY POLICY

This page explains, in plain language, what information the Marakand Lounge ordering system keeps, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. This system is run by the lounge on its own server.

What we collect

• Guests — name, phone number, and optional email. When you order on the lounge's tablet, you first identify yourself with your first and last name and phone number (email is optional). We keep a guest profile with those details so we can recognize you on your next visit and show your points. Your phone number is the key to your points account, and your name and order go to our staff so they can prepare and bring your order to your table.
• Guests — orders and points. We keep a record of your orders at the business (items, totals, status) and your points balance, which is tied to your phone number.
• Staff — account information. Employees and managers have accounts created by the owner. We keep their name, username, role, and the work activity connected to their account (for example, orders they handled).
• Technical records. The server keeps the basic records it needs to run and to fix errors.

What we do NOT collect

• No card or payment information. Guests pay in person at the venue. Payments are processed by Clover on its own device; this system never sees, receives, or stores card numbers or other payment details.
• No advertising or analytics trackers. This system does not use advertising trackers, analytics services, or third-party tracking of any kind, and it does not load content from outside services.

How your information is used

Your information is used only to run the lounge's service: taking and preparing orders, bringing them to your table, running the points program, and managing staff work. It is stored on the business's own server, and access is limited to authorized staff accounts.

News and offers

When you create your guest profile on our tablet, we ask for your consent to receive news and offers from the lounge by email and text message. Messages may include news, offers, and events; message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply for texts. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text to stop texts. You can opt out at any time — just ask our staff, or use STOP / the unsubscribe link. Opting out stops marketing messages only; your points account stays active. We never sell our customer list, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Sharing

We never sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. Your name, phone number, and order are visible to the lounge's staff so they can serve you.

Your choices — deleting your points data

You can ask us to delete your points data (your name, phone number, and points balance) at any time. Contact the location:

After we confirm it is you, we will delete your points record. Order records that the business must keep for its own books may be retained without your points account.

Staff accounts — deleting your account

If you are a staff member, you can delete your own account inside the app: sign in, open My account, and choose Delete my account — your password is asked again to confirm, and your account, sessions, and invite links are removed. Anyone can also send a deletion request from the account deletion page. Requests from that page are reviewed by the business owner or HQ — sending the form never deletes anything by itself.

Age

This is a 21+ venue and service. It is not directed to anyone under 21, and we do not knowingly keep information about anyone under 21.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
